Overseas Study

InSingapore education system, there is a strong emphasize on English and a 2^ndlanguage of Mandarin, Malay or Tamil. Most students will go through 6 years ofprimary education, 4 years of secondary education, 3-4 years of tertiaryeducation.

Most schools in Singapore aregovernment subsidize. There are 197primary schools, 162 secondary schools, 14junior colleges, 5 polytechnics, and 4 universities. Some of the well-knownschools are Raffles Institution, Nanyang Girl School, National Junior College,Hwa Chong Junior College, Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, NationalUniversity of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

AEIS

AEIS(Admission Exam For International Students) is cater for international student toprepare for admission to primary and secondary schools. Every students will have2 application per year and upon passing of examination, students will be a givena choice of schools for selections. Students are to be between 7 to 18 years old.

6years of Primary education

Singapore primary core subjects consist of English, 2^nd language and Mathematics.On the 4^th year, other subjects will include arts and design, music and  physical education. Upon completion of the 6^th yearstudy, all students will need the take PSLE（Primary School Leaving Examination）and to proceed to4 years of secondary education.

4years of Secondaryeducation
Singapore secondary core subjects consist of English, 2^nd language and Mathematics and Moral Education. Other subjects will include History,Geography, English Literature and Design & Technical works. Upon completion of the 4^th year study, all students will need the take GCE ‘O’ Level Examination and to proceed to 4-5 years of  tertiary education. 

Junior College/Polytechnic
Junior Colleges provide student a preparation course for admission to universities. All students will need to take the GCE ‘A’ Level Examination.Polytechnic offers students with 20 over technical and business courses. After 3years of studies, polytechnic students can further their education in the local and overseas universities.  

Universities

There are 4 universities in Singapore,mainly the NUS, NTU, Singapore University of Technology & Design and SIM University. There are also more than 100 private institutions and overseas universities. Various programmes offered are such as Business Administration,Computing, Law, and Medicine etc.

Study Mamas 

Study Mamas are foreign women who accompany their children to Singapore while their children  receive  primary and secondary level education. After 1 year of  their children studying in Singapore,Study Mamas are given work permits and to work in Singapore.
